Cinnamon Apple Swirl Cake

Ingredients:

Apple Mix:

  • 2 Apples peeled and diced
  • 45g sugar
  • 1 Tsp cinnamon

Cake Mix:

  • 360g Flour
  • 200g Sugar
  • 4 Tsp Baking powder
  • 300ml Whole milk
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Large eggs beaten
  • 110g Melted butter

Cinnamon swirl:

  • 120g Butter melted
  • 150g Brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon

Glaze:

  • 200g Icing sugar
  • 40ml Milk

 

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 170C
  • Mix apples sugar and cinnamon and set aside
  • Combine all the cake mix ingredients and add the mixed apple mixture and pour into a greased 8×10″ pan
  • Mix the Cinnamon swirl mix and drop by spoonful onto the top of the cake mix
  • Using a knife, swirl the cinnamon mixture through the cake
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes.  Use a knife to check doneness
  • Once cooked remove from the oven and let cool a few minutes before adding the glaze.
  • Mix the icing sugar and milk and pour over the cooling cake.
