Drop Biscuits

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup milk

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl add flour, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt, sift together.
  3. Whisk together milk and melted butter and mix into flour mixture until combined.
  4. Drop batter onto a greased cookie sheet, I used 1/3 cup of batter.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes or until a light golden brown.
  6. Best if served immediately or great to serve later with breakfast gravy.
